Is it time for the East Regionals to move from Greenville?

I looked at the pairings for the East Regionals this week and had to scratch my head. Is it time to move the tournament to a different location?

I know I'll get some of you folks upset, but really, shouldn't it be moved?

The worst part of the entire event is the fact that Greensboro Dudley has to leave Greensboro, oh by the way, the site for the Western Regionals and drive halfway across the state to Greenville to face Kinston.

In my opinion, which I know doesn't mean much or carry very much weight, they should host the Eastern Regionals either in Fayetteville or Raleigh. Both locations are easy for teams to get too from all points east of I-95, and isn't' too much of an inconvenience for teams like Dudley who gets stuck in the east bracket.

I'm sure the Crown Coliseum or Fayetteville State could host the events in Fayetteville, or Reynolds Coliseum, or any number of other venues in the Triangle region.

I totally agree with ya on this issue.Either move it to raliegh or keep schools like Dudley,or Northern Guilford in the west.I actually think the west should be played in Charlotte at Cricket Arena.

Mostly the only people that have a problem with the location are the ones that are losing. After Raleigh schools lost out of the tournament we all of a sudden need to change the location. We also haven`t heard a complaint from none of the Greensboro teams. They probably like getting out of the area cause it gives them more exposure to a different crowd and section of fans. And plus these teams bring most of the competition to the area. So changing it will only bring up more problems and controversy.

I understand your comment and welcome a different view. I'm not a Raleigh guy so I don't care, but I just think that a Greensboro team traveling to Greenville is a lot to ask when Raleigh or Fayetteville may be more efficient.
